| The Mechatronics Research Laboratory (MRL) is devoted to the control, system dynamics and design challenges associated with the fields of nanotechnology, biotechnology and robotics. Current research includes control techniques and system identification of high-speed atomic force microscopes, design and control of in-pipe robots, mobile robots for inspection of LNG tanks, swimming robots, development of sensors for leak detection in water-pipes as well as techniques for localization and navigation of robots in unknown environments.
